Rita Ranch Pet Hospital is the premier animal hospital in the Vail and Rita Ranch area. We have been serving our community with integrity for nearly a decade. We are dedicated to providing compassionate care for pets and their owners. We honor the Human-Animal Bond by providing the highest quality of veterinary medicine for pets, and our staff of veterinary professionals strives to educate and involve clients in the medical care of their pets. Our goal is to provide an exceptional experience for animals and their owners every time they visit us.

Rita Ranch Pet Hospital first opened its doors in January of 2006. Our hospital was founded by Dr. Lani Krauss who has extensive experience working in a variety of animal hospitals, including an emergency practice staffed with specialists.

We Are an AAHA Accredited Animal Hospital

All of our staff is committed to continual improvement of our skills and knowledge. Each of our technical staff participates in at least ten hours per year of continuing education in the veterinary field. Our veterinarians attend at least 20 hours per year of continuing education in the form of conferences, seminars, and on-line education. As part of our on-going commitment to improving, in February of 2011 we became an AAHA accredited animal hospital. The American Association of Animal Hospitals is the only organization that accredits animal hospitals in the US and Canada, and only about 15% of hospitals nationwide are certified.

As an AAHA accredited animal hospital, we offer high-quality veterinary care at the very highest standards in the industry. Our Involvement in the Community

The Rita Ranch Pet Hospital team provides exceptional care, not only to our patients but also to the community of pets in Tucson. We conduct pet owner education seminars at the local library twice yearly. We believe that pet owner education is so important and we are committed to ensuring that the pets of Tucson are cared for properly. We offer courses on various topics and for a variety of age groups.
