Puppy & Kitten Care in Tucson
First Steps with a New Puppy or Kitten
When you first get a new pet, we recommend that they be brought into our animal hospital for a checkup within the first week after they join your household. This is important so that we can check for signs of any underlying health conditions and ensure that your pet is parasite-free. When you come in for your first visit, please bring a fecal sample to help us screen for parasites. During this initial visit, we’ll perform a nose-to-tail check, examining your pet thoroughly to ensure they are healthy. If any health problems are detected, we will be able to develop a course of action for managing the condition right away.
